Quedlinburg, a charming town in Saxony-Anhalt, attracts visitors with a magical experience, especially at Christmas time: its picturesque Christmas market. The town itself is known for its rich history, its cathedral and well-preserved half-timbered architecture, which creates a unique atmosphere.
Quedlinburg’s Christmas market bathes the old town in a magical sea of lights. The narrow streets are decorated with twinkling lights, festive decorations and traditional wooden stalls. Here you’ll find arts and crafts, delicious treats and regional products that perfectly complement the Christmas atmosphere.
Wilma will give you a guided tour and you will have enough time to further explore the town and its Christmas market.
When: 10. Dec. 2023 (Sunday), 10:00 hours
Where: We will meet at the escalators in the Western hall of the main station Leipzig. We will be back approximately at 9 pm.
Costs: 11€ per person (you don’t have to pay for the train tickets, if you have the „Deutschlandticket“).

Komm mit Wilma in die wunderschöne Stadt Quedlinburg, die mit ihren über 1000 Fachwerkhäusern zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört.
Quedlinburg lockt insbesondere zur Weihnachtszeit mit einem magischen Erlebnis: ihrem malerischen Weihnachtsmarkt. Die Stadt selbst ist bekannt für ihre reiche Geschichte, einen bedeutenden Dom und gut erhaltene Fachwerkarchitektur, die eine einzigartige Atmosphäre schafft.
Der Quedlinburger Weihnachtsmarkt taucht die Altstadt in ein zauberhaftes Lichtermeer. Die engen Gassen sind geschmückt mit funkelnden Lichtern, festlichen Dekorationen und traditionellen Holzbuden. Hier findest du Kunsthandwerk, köstliche Leckereien und regionale Produkte, die die weihnachtliche Stimmung perfekt ergänzen.
Wilma wird dir zuerst eine Stadttour durch die verschlungenen Gassen geben und sich danach mit euch ins weihnachtliche Getümmel stürzen.

Treffpunkt: Rolltreppen in der Westhalle des Hauptbahnhof Leipzig. Wir sind gegen 21:00 Uhr wieder zurück.
